We are thrilled to announce that at the end of 2016, the ‘Niche Vehicle Network’, an independent association aiming to promote vehicle R&D, awarded BIZ Karts’ R&D Team an £8000 innovation prize. The funding represents a truly exciting step forward for our electric kart technology. It is allowing the team to conduct a feasibility study of battery technologies for our electric karts. The project is being led by Chris Day, our Powertrain Systems Engineer and has spanned three months, starting in January 2017. It’s a massive step forward for the Design Team: BIZ are currently testing cells and materials, creating computational models, and running simulations. The overall objective is for BIZ Karts to create energy and power dense packs for our future electric go-karts. We’ll be posting more updates throughout the year on this exciting project, so watch this space!
