Our first fleet of electric karts in the USA!

December was an exciting month for the team with BIZ Karts’ first fleet of EcoVolt NG electric karts launching in the US. Our kart installation team (made up of three Kart Technicians and our Electric Powertrain Systems Engineer) went out to America to set up the karts at the all-new circuit in Rhode Island.

R1 Indoor Karting is a brand new 90,000 square foot indoor entertainment centre. At the core of the action, and the first activity to open, is the adult and junior kart track and our team were on hand to complete final set-up of the electric rental karts! The BIZ team of Shaun, Michael and Greg completed final mechanical assembly and checks of the 30 EcoVolt NG Adults and 12 EcoVolt Juniors. Chris, our Systems Engineer then fine-tuned the torque and power of each kart to the high demands of Mike Hezemans who tested each kart to less than a tenth of a second! The team finished the set-up within five days, ready for R1 to focus on their grand opening of their custom designed circuit.
